Miranda met General Cross as a child and he sealed the Noah "Toraido" inside her, stopping him from awakening. However, he did this while she was unconscious so she has no knowledge of the thing that lies sleeping inside her. General Cross never reported the incident to his higher ups so besides him, no one knows what happened to the Noah Judge.

When Miranda was five, her parents were killed in a fire that consumed their house. That was when she first gained her title of "Bad Luck Miranda" from the other kids. The fact that she couldn't do anything well only seemed to prove their point. They avoided her like the plague, which they often said she curse people with. Miranda was miserable. This feeling lasted until she was seven; for two whole years she had endured the teasing and the things tossed at her. She had promised her parents she would live and she wanted to keep that promise. That day, she had been sent out to get some groceries, something she managed to do without getting into too much trouble normally. It was a cold winter day and she was bundled up tight against the weather but she could still feel the freezing temperature. She was walking next to the railing of the bridge across the nearby river when the Noah in her first began to awaken.

A young exorcist was passing by and noticed her changing. She tipped forward, the pain of her human consciousness melding with the Noah too intense for her small, frail body. She fell into the freezing river, the shock of it locking her already taxed system up, making her flailing movements slow. He should have let her drown, considering she was a Noah and he'd been witness to her transformation. If he had, then her Noah would have had to be reborn all over again. Instead, he dived into the freezing cold water after her. The water tore at her lungs, the freezing temperature seemingly trying to suck all the air out of her. Her last conscious thought was that soon she'd be with her parents and then nobody would call her cursed anymore.

When she woke up, she was in her bed at the orphanage. She had had a fever for three days and she was still very weak from hypothermia but she was alive. She cried herself to sleep, wondering why somebody had saved her. She was cursed, she didn't deserve to live. The exorcist who saved her had stayed at the orphanage to check on her. He stroked her hair and told her she was special. She would grow up to be something no one else would expect. He stayed there for a month, talking mainly with Miranda and the beautiful young woman who ran the orphanage. She gave him a hat she had made, a bit battered and big, but black like his uniform with gold threads on it. He put it on and when he asked if it suited him, she smiled for the first time since her parents died. He told her she would be a beautiful woman one day if she learned how to smile more. Before he left, he patted Miranda on the head and told her everything would be alright…

Miranda has no idea that she's actually like Allen, both an Exorcist and a Noah. After her awakening as an Exorcist, she began having headaches. She's brushed these off as a new symptom of her insomnia. Most of the events happen according to canon. She was stabbed by Road in the hands, who either didn't recognize her as a Noah or more likely, was trying to awaken her slumbering Noah in the Rewinding Town arc. Instead, she awoke her potential as an Exorcist and Miranda went on to join the Black Order. After coming the the Black Order, there was a slight deviation from canon, as she ended up having a small affair with Koumi. After that, most of the canon points line up again. However, during the Third Exorcist arc, things again begin to deviate. Her headaches have gotten much worse, to the point of the pain blinding her at times. She collapses to her knees when they meet up with Jasdevi, her subconscious instinctively trying to suppress what's coming. However, she fails and her transformation into a Noah is completed. Fresh in this new state, she attacks the shocked others and ends up killing Kiredori. She flees with Jasdevi, only to later revert to her "white" side and be horrified by what she's done. However, she can never go back now and is accepted into the Noah family as one of them.

Relationships:

Of the Exorcists, she not particularly close to any of them.

Lavi ~ she likes him well enough but they're interactions were cut short. Bookman worried about her getting attached and warned Lavi not to get too close to her, lest she get the wrong idea.

Krory ~ she likes him well enough. They worked together as team mates a few times. They aren't particularly close.

Kanda ~ she's afraid of him based on what few interactions they've had.

Lenalee ~ she really likes Lenalee based on their interactions. However, they aren't particularly close, despite her wishes to the contrary.

+ Link ~ she liked him well enough, based on their few interactions. She was a bit confused as to his role, however, in following Allen.

Allen ~ she felt a special kinship to Allen, a bond, because they were similar in their dual nature.

Noise Marie ~ she was quiet fond of Noise Marie and they'd started getting closer right before the end. He's the one she'll miss most now that she's no longer part of the Black Order.

Koumi ~ they had a brief affair, started from late nights spent together, trying to talk her into redesigning her Innocence. She's a little closer to Koumi than she is most of the Exorcists, but not much.

+ Cross Marian ~ she was quite close to him before he died. She didn't remember that he sealed her Noah but he paid special attention to her, remembering her. However, Allen and a few others often misinterpreted their relationship.

Of the Noah, she's still getting to know them and getting used to calling them family.

+ Millenium Earl ~ at first she hated him, as all Exorcists do, but he's so kind and gentle with her now that sometimes she forgets she's supposed to hate him. It's also very confusing for her now to see his face. He's trying to convince her to destroy her Innocence. Her Noah is doubly drawn to him.

+ Tyki Mikk ~ she hated him for what he did to Allen and can't understand the why behind it. Yet she's drawn to him a bit too, the Noah inside her wanting to connect with "Family" again. Right now, she's rather wary of him, even if she's been claimed as "Family."

+ Cyril Kamelot ~ he honestly scares her. She isn't sure what to make of him. She is currently stay in his household, with Tyki, Road, Wisely, and his wife. The Earl comes to visit them all often. Her Noah is drawn to him, which terrifies her, honestly.

+ Road Kamelot ~ She has not forgotten that Road stabbed her hands upon first meeting her or what she saw her do to Allen and Lenalee for 'fun.' Road terrifies her on some level, and yet she has no idea what to make of her, because she openly demands to be spoiled by Cyril, Tyki, the Earl and anyone else she can get to give into her whims. She's quite fond of Miranda now that she's a Noah and one of them, and Miranda is very very slowly thawing to her. Her Noah is drawn to Road as well, which might be apart of it.

+ Tricia Kamelot ~ not a Noah but related to the family. She seems like a sweet woman and they get along alright, although they have very few interactions. Cyril makes sure to keep it that way, not wanting Miranda to be influenced any further by outside forces, be them human or Exorcist.

+ Wisely ~ she isn't sure what to make of him. He seems a bit absent minded to her. However, his abilities are no joke and seriously freak her out. He'll definitely take some getting used to. Her Noah is drawn to him as well.

+ Fiidora ~ he honestly scares her and that tongue. That takes some getting used to, although learning about their ability to spy on the Black Order and look out for Apocryphos. She's only met him briefly, in passing.

+ Maashiima ~ she doesn't know what to make of him yet but he intimidates her. She's only met him briefly, in passing.

+ Raasura, formerly Skinn Bolic ~ she hasn't meant the new person who represents wrath yet and she's quite alright with that. No rush, really!

+ Jasdevi, comprised of the twins Jasdero & Devit ~ she slowly becoming fond of them, although she tries to fight it. They pick on her a bit, but she always wanted siblings and is coming to view it as little brothers teasing an older sister. She is a bit more fond of Jasdero. Her Noah is drawn to both of them.

+ Lulu Bell ~ she hasn't forgotten or forgiven the fact that she tried to drown her. Lulu Bell is unapologetic, stating that either she would have succumbed and been reborn if that stupid brat hadn't helped her or her Noah would have awakened. They are not close friends, obviously. This does not appear likely to change in the near future. They try to avoid meeting.

+ Maitora ~ she has not met him yet and doesn't know what to think of him.

+ Toraido ~ the Noah inside of her, the Judge. She doesn't know what to make of the fact that she's a Noah yet but she's coming to terms and learning to accept it, whether she wants to or not.

+ Neah ~ the "fourteenth" Noah. She hasn't met him yet and is too afraid to ask the others about him. She tries not to think of him too often, as he's inside of Allen now, threatening to overwrite him just as her Noah threatens to overwrite her.

+ Mana ~ she doesn't realize that Mana and the Millennium Earl are the same person. She only heard Mana mentioned in brief passing, as Allen Walker's adoptive father.
